Sure enough. Glad to do it. Hey, since I have you're attention... is it necessary to pick a particuar time for the factory tour?

Was at Hot lake last week.   There is lots of large firewood at the rv park.   What we may need is some smaller stuff and/or kindling.   I will be there Fri afternoon with kindling from the shop.

Looking forward to a fun event.   Any hot rodders in this group?   I might bring the toy along.

OK, the wishy washy Shotgun group has arranged to visit our friends the weekend before the rally, so we are now clear to attend! We will be arriving as early as we can Friday, and then leaving Sunday after breakfast. Boy oh boy are we glad to be able to make it.

Adam, we are back on track for the archery stuff, and we will do whatever you need us to do for the rest of the weekend.

Bob, bring the hot rod, we would LOVE to take it out for a spin for you! Can trade rides for a little while, you can drive the new Duramax......

:)That is good news Shotgun, looking forward to meeting new people as well as ones who have attended in the past. Can you believe its only a couple of weeks away! I have to get on the phone and give Northwood a updated head count and make sure everything is in order.

Hey while I am thinking of it if anyone has any photo's on DVD or cd that they would like to share of a trip or anything bring them along and we will show them on Bob's projector. Don't be shy now, last year I was the only one and I even shared my burnt underwear story:shock: much to my wifes dismay!

We are really looking forward to the rally as well. You can't believe how hard we have been trying to rearrange our schedules so that we can make it. I don't know if we could last another year without giving you and Bob a hard time in person!:)

So for everyone's information, the ante for the rig decorating contest has been upped a little. Starting this year, we will have a rotating trophy for the winners. Each year the winners will get to take the trophy home and keep it for a year. We will have plaques engraved with the winners names to put on the trophy. Each year the trophy will have to be returned to the rally for the next winners to take home. So come on all you decorating guru's, let's see what you got!

I am thinking that we will also do the same thing for the bake off. A golden spoon award with the annual winners names forever engraved on it.

Are we the only ones pumped up about the rally? Come on guys, it's only a couple weeks away, lets hear a who-ra or two!:)

WHO-RA! WHO-RA!!! We're newbies to the gathering but are looking forward to meeting you all and putting faces to names. Won't be eligible for the trophy since we are spending every spare moment just trying to get our new 29-5T ready for the road, but we are trying to come up with some good travelin' recipes for you to sample ;)

See You Soon!

Caryln and Dan are tentatively heading for the signing up for the get-together in Oregon!  Add us to the list. We are leaving from Kansas City about June 8th.

Dan has had a herniated disc in his back for the last 6 weeks, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. Details of our adventurous spring will be in the general discussion section.

I will call Hot Lakes to see if we can still get a reservation. Hope to join you!

I wish we could come!!  We had a really good time at the rv.net rally in May--rain and all--and I hate to miss this one every year.  The 3rd weekend in June is out for us (the 4th also) so guess I'll just have to wish you all a good time!  Adam, your're it for covering my forum topics--for 2 weeks.  Sorry!  We'll be on the Malheur NF fencing in aspen trees the first weekend, then a few days off and west to the Paulina area (Rager Ranger Station) to build water guzzlers in the arid areas.  Dave works--I guard the camp!  My back is so bad I can hardly get up the stairs and into the Fox.

Just as a reminder, if anyone has anything they would like to get taken care of Thursday or Friday while at the Rally by the factory. Give Northwood a call so they can get you scheduled in. If you have any problems getting on there schedule give me a holler.

Linda sure do appreciate your willingness to help moderate the group and sorry the about the rally dates again this year. Got you covered while gone, have fun.:)

Afternoon all,

Just a quick note to say that I was visiting family around North Powder, OR over Memorial Day and took the factory tour on the following Tuesday.  Dave Mann was our guide.

The tour was very interesting.  They offer tours at 11:00 and 3:30 Monday through Friday.  We were there for the 11:00 tour.  I suggest opting for the later tour so that you're not there when the workers get back to work after their lunch break.  The noise gets pretty intense, but is managable.

I was looking for information about what was behind an access panel I found while crawling around under the front of our Nash the other day.  Dave was very helpful and I came away more knowledgable than when I arrived.

The tour made me even more sure that there is no better trailer/camper than those coming out of the Northwood plant.

Ron was not on-site when we were there.  Rumor was he was over at the La Grande airport working on his airplane.

I hope that everyone has a great time at this year's gathering and I'm looking forward to hearing how the early-bird camp-out at Phillips Resv. goes.  My wife and I almost bought 10 acres outside of Sumpter near the upper end of Phillips about 20 years ago and kick ourselves from time-to-time for not jumping at the opportunity.

Take care all,
george

Hi;

Thought I'd better check back in and let Adam know that we will be there for sure but probably slide under the door at the last minute.  We did buy a house in Florence after all Adam.  It's being built and and won't finish until late Sept.  Also have our existing home on the 'rickety' market here.  Been taking extra things back and forth for two months now and getting them put into storage.  All of this is background info to say we don't think we are going to have time to put any good thought or effort into the camp decorating activity.  In addition, the twins won't be with us this year to help judge and award so Bobbie and I could help out with that if needed.  We're running on fumes right now in terms of energy but we'll be there for sure and of course participate in the potluck.  Just now starting to get the 5er ready but don't think I will have any Northwood issues.  Man I'm glad we own an Artic Fox.

See you in about 10 days or so.

Mike, Bobbie and Bella

Winning lotto tickets for Adam....... Oh, and a vegetable dish for Friday nights potluck dinner, and if you want to try for the silver spoon award, some type of desert to enter the competition Friday evening.
