Like Don was saying, it depends on what near would really be and how much wine do you all drink? LOL

| I did a search for clubs in and around Colorado Springs, CO. Unfortunately, I came up empty, sorry. However, there are plenty of nice CG's you can come and visit and meet up with others. If you've never been here, it's time to visit. Have a good trip.

| Never got a taste for wine, but a few beers, good stories, and a line floating in the water is all good. I have a little 16.5 foot boat that I like to get around in also.

| Find an interesting campground that can handle use all, pick a date, post it here and see who can come visit. If it is with in a Days drive and I am off work and not camping some where else I could be there. Give it a shot and you might get a crowd

Sometime around the second to third week in August and I will be heading through Colorado Springs on my way to New Mexico from Alaska. Pick the spot, granted it is during that time frame and DW and I will be there. Course all she drinks is Dr. Pepper and I mostly drink beer, but I open to try new things (wine)
Camp on,

Alamogordo (Holloman AFB), sure will be nice to be able to use the camper year around. My four years in Alaska are up, time to move on to bigger and better, and warmer things.

I DID have an assignment to Hill, then BAM!! Two weeks later have an assignment to Holloman. Good thing I hadn't made too many plans yet. I'm just hoping I don't get assigned anywhere else before I leave.

Not a bad place, good camping in the Scaromento's, White Sands, not to far from Elephant Bute Lake/Tor C, good four wheeling around Las Cruces. Popular hang gliding area near there as well.
Don't feel to bad about the change, when I was a kid we were at Ft Bragg NC and were packing our stuff to go to Clark AFB P.I. actually loading the moving van, when a clerk from my dads outfit came up the walk with new orders sending us to Okinawa.
