| Due to illness in my family, I have had to cancel this event. Will see everyone at the rally in June! Last edited on Sat Apr 7th, 2007 01:48 by Shotgun

Sounds great to me! Do you already have any idea's where you might be thinking? Looking at the map there appears to be some good camping just north of Bend.

Actually not really. I was going to wait and see if anyone was interested before I started planning anything. But, since the Sheriff is interested, I better get off my "you know what" and start planning!!!

How about Maryhill State Park, on the Washington side of the river right at Biggs junction?
http://www.parks.wa.gov/parkpage.asp?selectedpark=Maryhill&pageno=1
It would be kind of a center point, couple hours for you, couple hours from central Oregon, and a couple hours from Portland. Might get more people to attend than if we did it in Central Oregon?

This is true. Maryhill is a nice park, have use it as a jumping off point on several trips. Just up the road is Memoloose and Ainsworth as well, each one being a little more protected from the gorge winds. Just throwing some more suggestions in the pot.

Wow I expected this thread to take off, after all this is Shotgun putting together a rally. So I am expecting lots of rum, dancing ladies and all kinds of shenanigans going on. So what do you all say......

We'd be interested--actually might have a couple of days to kill before the rally, but we will be in the wrong place. Will be on the Malheur National Forest the previous weekend--below Prairie City. We are skipping the next weekend work party out of Paulina for the rally--but we may end up over there for the set up operation before that weekend. Too far to pull up into the Gorge area since we aren't all that far from La Grande. Phillips Lake last year would have worked!
Oops--another senior moment. read the month wrong.

| Linda, we are talking about the first weekend in May, not just before the rally in June.

Whew, for a minute there I thought it was me!
Maybe we should come up with a place to do this, and then re-post with another name and date. Maybe then we might drum up some business.....

Well guys, Liz and I would love to be up there but...we are scheduled for an Alaskan trip and a couple of horse shows. We are still trying to clear the slate for the June gathering!

I guess I don't know what to say about changing the date, other then its your call as its your get together. I suppose just pick a date and place and see who can make it, kinda like I do with the Rally. The date works for some but not for everyone. Between my son's youth group activities and my daughters horse riding events this spring/summer is really busy! I suppose it would be easier if you had more feed back if anyone else is interested in getting together around that time.

| First weekend in May is the only time within 4-5 weeks that works for me. So, that is the date if we are hosting the event. I am going to work on some details and then re-post under a different name so maybe we get a little more interest.

Sounds good to me! To avoid confusion you just might want to delete this whole thread.

We might be interested also. Waiting to hear if/when a couple of our grandkids will be coming to visit before committing. Don't really care where or when exactly. Just need to get the rig ready and and get other chores done.

| Hi Mike, I have been wondering with all the storms that have been hitting the coast this year if you were still around or maybe got blown out to sea! It would be great if you can work things out and make it.

Will try my best. The storms weren't too bad but it did get cold a couple of times while we were living in our 5er. No problem for the Fox. The park was really good too (now called Pacific Pines RV in Florence) during the coldest part of winter mostly because it has new owners that really seem to care about us customers. Wow, what a change that was for the better.
Anyway, today we are looking at our third straight day of a perfectly clear, clean and sunshiney day. I'm already starting to forget about the rain, wind and cold. It's starting to spring over here-better come and see!!!!!
