Well we are going to go to one of the wife's favorite Oregon State parks and if anyone is in the area would like to meet there that would be great! (Bob are you seeing this) There are no hookups but the price is right at $5.00 per night. She loves to pan for gold here, no big strikes yet but she is hoping

| Timing is not good. Same day as our Eastern Oregon Search And Rescue Conference. Since our unit is one of the host, and I'm responsible for planning, I really should be there. Conf is over at 4. Will talk to Betsy and we might drive up after dinner for campfire in the snow.

Well we made it back! On the way we stopped by the factory so the kids could see the new trailer for the first time and work on the rally activities some more. Meet some nice folks dropping off there trailer for repairs from the Portland area and told them about our little group and the rally. They were quite excited about becoming new members and attending the rally. We also got to meet a current member, arcticfoxcats. Then we stopped by Hot Lakes Resort so we could follow up with the campground stuff and check on the progress of the new Gathering building they are having built. They are having some problems with timely inspections from the state but still feel it will be done by June 1st.
The park was empty as always this time of year and the weather was very nice Saturday. We did have some rain early Sunday morning but was warm and dry in our Fox. The wife spent sometime on the creek panning and found several flakes. I am still waiting for the 5lbs nugget find This was only the second outing for our new Lab/Retriever and he had a ball running up and down the park with me and the kids chasing behind him. He spent a lot of time in the creeks just wading around and finding the occasional deep spot! Our son went in search of firewood and made us a great campfire which we roasted hot dogs and smore's over then just sat and listened to the radio for several hours. Was simply a great relaxing weekend for all
