Wife and I went north about 120 miles to Oroville. Friday night I'm
walking around the park and saw a pick-up and trailer that looked
familiar, noticed the license plate (JASMAR). It was nice meeting
you Tom but not enough time to talk everything over and settle
the world problems.
See you on the road .
Ken

We get into the foothills, so a good chance
of running into you again. Also now that you
are retired this is a good year for the rally.

Are you refering to the one in La Grande. We will be on vacation I think during the time of the rally, that would be an option to attend the rally. Regardless if you ever head up to Jackson Rancheria RV park or the KOA in Oroville, let us know. We can have a small rally

Retired? Vacation? What is the difference? How can you tell one from the other?

I've been tent camping in oroville which is 150 miles for me since '96 mostly at the salmon hole, outlet, and loafer creek since I got married. I'm sort of bitter to say the least about the destruction of the salmon fishery.
On a brighter note I caught this amazing 3 lb rainbow in the feather river up hwy 99 from oroville last year. I almost died rock hopping. It looked like a chrome steelhead but had slightly bigger eyes and squirted an egg when I landed it. I'm a bait fisherman and not much of a catch and release guy but I let that one go. As a result I'll probably head up that way soon. Any advice for locations that boast high quality RV camping and shore/bank fishing.
I researched the La Grande rally and 17 hours is too much to see the Mecca of trailer construction. We have opted for Yellowstone instead as vacation and sick leave are hot commodities still.
