I just updated the information for the golf tounament on Friday as well. PLEASE CHECK THAT UPDATE AND LET ME KNOW IF I HAVE ANYTHING INCORRECT.
Come on everyone, still only have 12 people signed up to win the coveted "AFNash Gold Club Award". Plenty of time to add more people, come on, get those dusty clubs out and join us for an afternoon of fun. Or all day if you would like to play 18....
WOODY...... OH WOODY, I have extra sets of clubs, you going to play chicken or come join us?????

Speaking of kilts...
I was hoping for more people to sign up for the no sew throw class, so, men (who generally hit this forum more than women)...please talk to your wives and encourage them to sign up for that event as well. Every year the women all say they want more things for them to do and this is certainly a no brainer, yet fruitful project. It certainly is priced right at $5.oo (you take the throw home with you!). You could even donate them to cancer or hospital patients, or turn them into Christmas presents. Men are more than welcme too, and it should be a pleasant way to spend an hour if you weren't planning on golfing.

Just as a warning to all. Jill told me that Tom likes to go commando when he wears his kilt. He allways wears his kilt when he plays golf. You do not want to be looking the wrong direction when he bends over to retreave his ball.

Ok, this is your final warning....er invitation.
Let's all be prepared for the "Wine Tasting Extravaganza" Thur evening at 7pm.....We know Seniors are always early (thinking every meal is their last)... So feel free to show whenever you finish dinner. Bring your own, but try everything on the table at least twice. You'd be surprised how funny the DVD show will look after a half hour or so of true "sampling".
We'll have some cups and napkins and after last year I'm bringing the electric cork puller for those that don't enjoy the finer screw top vintages.
See you there...

I have not seen many inquiries as to the trailer decorating contest...but let me say...as we are getting closer to the event, my idea is panning out rather well.
Bring on the competition!
My idea may even hold up to the chance of rain and the defininate possibility of wind!
45 or so rigs...we ought to be a colorful sight to any folks cruising by!
(Mrs) Shotgun
I see trouble in the back row of sites--64 and 65! (as stated by Foxyrvlady)

Well, I guess the decorating gauntlet has been thrown down!! We'll see your "windproof decorations" and raise them a secret or two!!
We accept the challenge! And, in turn, challenge all comers!

The slide show to be shown during the Wine Tasting on Thursday night is coming along - I think it's some of my best work!
I've gotten pictures from many of you but many more have yet to send anything. Please send me pics of yourself, your rig, and your best RVing spot (3 pics).
I'll also bring the slide show that was shown last year - for those who are new it's a review of all the past rallies - so that might of interest to you.
So, remember you don't have to be a wine drinker to come to see the slide show. As JayBoy said - the show gets funnier after a glass or two (not sure what he is trying to say but I agree anyway!).
Send your pics to n7hwj@comcast.net.
PS: Thank you to all who have already sent them to me.

TWO WEEKS AND COUNTING! For those of you who are counting down the days. Luckily I am not one of those people as I am just laying back.............Ok I admit it, I am lying! I might be freaking a little bit but its ok as things have been going smoothly.
Ok what is all this talk about the site decorating contest? I think ours is really going to be hard to beat! I am not sure what it is but the misses says its something else and I believe her!
I need to also announce that after you get set up to head into the Eagles Nest Community building and pick up your sack of stuff. Inside will be your Tee shirts, sealant for your trailer and name badges along with a complementary issue of a RV magazine. Your name and site number will be on each paper sack and I will have them arranged by site number.

Yes and it will start quickly, pour down and end just as fast! The wind will also blow and don't forget your mosquito repellent. They do come out in the evening!

Well, it looks like the decorating contest is heating up! It would seem that Mrs. Shotgun and Mrs. Adam each think they've got it all sewed up this year.
Well, I say we all jump in and give them some serious competition! Come on, everybody!
This is certainly more fun than attending a workshop on how to grease your axles!! Let's give them something to compete against!
Mrs. Bill

We have to carry shotguns to deal with Texas mosquitos. We actually missed Christmas one year because (it is generally believed) Santa and his reindeer were carried off by a couple of hungry mosquitos. Since then, he has had National Guard fighter protection flying top cap for him over Texas. HONEST! Attached Image (viewed 174 times):

Dutch you ever considered catching a few of those and training them to pull your trailer!
Don't want everyone to get to concerned as yes this is wet land so there are evening mosquitoes but a little Off keeps them at bay. Also need to mention the Hot Lakes Springs museum, spa and coffee shop will be open next door. The Hotel & Restaurant is running behind schedule and will not be open until next fall. They will also give you guided tours of the facility, as anyone who has gone in the past can tell you its very worth while. You can get more info by clicking the link below.

Did I forget to tell you its also haunted????

| Adam, I don't know if I would want to try to put together a matched hitch of those brutes. You have heard of the famous Texas BBQ brisket I assume? What isn't generally known is that the best brisket comes from yearling mosquitos. It takes a champion rodeo roper to catch one though. If you can get one that has had the brisket cut out, they have some mighty tasty ribs too. See y'all in a couple of weeks. We leave Friday. Dutch
