Hi Jerry
Sounds delicious, but we have other family commitments and we will have to pass on this one.
You all have a great time.

| Jerry/Jan: Think I'll try to make this one! I'll be in Nevada, or on my way from Nevada back to Texas. Google Maps shows it's a SHORT 7.5 hour drag to Roosevelt from Las Vegas, so why not. Please PM me with any particulars on reservations, etc. Never been in that part of Arizona, so I'm looking forward to it, and to meeting everyone... Last edited on Wed Sep 16th, 2009 16:05 by Kuma

For those who haven't been to Roosevelt, here is a link to the pictures I took last Thanksgiving. We have the same campground this year as we did last year.

We just may be able to make it. We'll be in Tucson from Nov through Jan. 3. It would be fun to get away for a few days and meet some new friends.
I assume this is a Forest Service CG? So the cost with a Golden Age Pass would be minimal? I ask only because we are paying for the park in Tucson and would be making double payments for those few days.

I have already paid for the group campground. We split the cost between everyone. The more rigs that come, the less it costs each one. We're probably looking at around $40 for each rig for all 4 nights.
Hope to see you there,
Jerry

Golden Age passes can't be used for Group camp sites.

We'll be there for sure. Golden Age is no problem--didn't think about it being a group site.

We're all set for the upcoming outing.
We are camping at the Grebe Loop of the Grapevine Group Site.
The campground is located approximately 8.5 miles south of Theodore Roosevelt Dam.

From Mesa: Take State Hwy 87/Beeline Highway north for about 60 miles to its junction with State Hwy 188. Turn right and follow State Hwy 188 for 33 miles to its junction with State Hwy 88. Continue on State Hwy 188 south for another 7.5 miles to Forest Road (FR) 84/Grapevine Group Site. Turn left onto FR 84 for 2 miles to the site.
Sewage dump facilities (no fee) are located 5 miles north of the State Hwy 88/188 junction on State Hwy 188 at milepost 249 across from Cholla Recreation Site.
