Please vote for the model you currently have and post its average loaded weight(if known) and what vehicle/hitch set up you pull it with , also what factory options did you choose. If your model is not listed please let me know and I will add it. Please post info only, do not use this thread to discuss truck capacity

| I'm picking up the new '06 AF26X in a couple weeks so I don't know the real world weights yet but I'll edit this post when I do. Options include an extra Fantastic Fan in the bedroom, solar with 6V batteries, hide-a-bed, and the 12V power jack. I wanted to get the Nev-R-Lub axles but the trailer was too far along on the assembly line. I'm pulling with an '02 Avalanche 2500 with the Hensley Arrow and a Putnam class V hitch.

| 2002 AF 25R pulled by a 2003 Dodge 3500 HO CTD, details in signature. Only extras on the Fox are florescent lights in all but bedroom and bath, two spare tires and wheels, Fantastic Fan in kitchen, Max Air cover over bedroom vent, Charge Wizard, Trojan 125 six volt batteries, and a power front jack. Hitch is a mix of Reece ball adjustable ball mount and EZ Life 1200# bars. Have a Dual Cam but bought it for the hitch set up on our 1997 Dodge and had to change bars so it is still in the box. Prodigy brake control. Have added the heavy duty Dexter kit to the suspension and beefed up the spring hangers after our originals failed. Pretty stock and boring! When loaded for a two week boondock outing, full water and propane, weighs around 7200# on the wheels, a little over 900# on the hitch. Tows like a dream!

My husband and I are picking up our AF25R, March 25th. I can't wait! So looking forward to getting back out there. We've had another brand before, but just didn't have the time. Now we do, and we will go more often. Short trips close to home seems like a great way to start.
Also, the dealer we are working with is "holding" our 25R. We put some money down and they are keeping it until we get it. Great people to work with. We are going through Hi-Mountain RV in Colorado Springs, and Essex is doing our financing. They had the best price and I "looked" around on the internet. They've answered all my questions, and been very patient with us. Unfortunately they don't have a website, but they do have an 800 number. Did alot of research on the internet before deciding on the AF, and I'm glad I did. Thought we were going to get a 25S and my husband vetoed that for the larger 25R. Glad he did.

We have a 2005 Nash 26X w/ the dinette instead of table and chairs. Our options we added are only a few. We went for the double battery set-up, and a retractable awning over the slide-out, and vent covers for all three vents. Our trailer weighs in at a little over 8000# loaded, and we tow it with our 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cad. It is a 4x4 and yes it has a Hemi. The truck handles this trailer with ease, and I get about 10mpg when towing the trailer. We are very happy with our Nash and Dodge.

| Where is my great little 2002 AF 27Y. I pull with a 2004 Dodge TD2500 with a prodigy controller. Have not weighed it. I have a draw tight equalizer hitch and electric tougue jack. I think my 27 Y has all options but storm windows. 3 Fantastic vents, one with rain sensor, day/night shades, ac/dc hot water heater, hard side, roof rack and ladder, 20 ft awning, sky light in living room, skylight in bath room over shower, many other standard Northwood options. This model with bunks and a front queen size bedroom is great for our small family. Privacy for the 11 year old and for us too. Last edited on Fri Jun 2nd, 2006 19:47 by newtune3

Adam,
I'm not seeing a Nash 22GQ on your list.

Mine is a 26Z, NOT a 26Z-2 as that model was not out in 2003. Options and TV are in my signature. Weight with my "base load" and empty tanks is right at 8,500#.

One of my projects, this summer, is to weigh both rigs and the combination to see where I'm at. I'll post the weights when I get 'em. The 27E is listed as 6500# empty and GVW as 10,000#. I'm guessing, with what we carry, it's maybe 7500#. I can't remember what the truck weighs. But we'll see how close I am. Pat

Getting ready for our third Northwood Product. Ordered an 09 Nash 25R. Have a Arctic Fox 25S and had a 22H before that. What can I say but a good product. Since they switched to hard sides on the Nash decided to save a few dollars.

We picked up today, our new to us, previously owned by a member of this forum and well taken care of, 2004 Nash 26X hardside TT with Equilizer hitch. While holding and fresh water tanks were empty (or nearly empty) we weighed in at 8,010 lbs. More than I thought it would be. This TT has the booth dinette and jackknife sofa which will help with storage space. The bath and bed areas are a bit smaller than our previous AF 27-5L, but should be fine. Our maiden voyage will be in 2 days to Mueller State Park west of Colorado Springs.
