Scroll down below the quick links section to the silent wind camping.  I don't have one yet but that sure looks interesting.

I have shared anchorages with boats which were operating their wind generators.  They were not silent.  I would want to actually hear one operating in a variety of wind conditions before committing to one.

I see these turbines online for like 300-$400, I wonder what makes this item $1775!  Perhaps the telescoping pole?

"not silent" :)  The ones I have heard in marinas would make even the cheapest loudest generator sound quiet.  Hopefully they aren't all that way.

Like others have said, the only one I have seen are the telescoping poles with the plate to drive a wheel on.   Looked to be pretty heavy and not very easy to transport.

Also, the noise is significant!   We have a roadside camping area better know as the "Rincon Riveria" that fronts a steady wind off the ocean.   If not for the surf noise, these would be terrible.

Keep us posted on what you find,

Eric
