Saw these, think I happened across them on another forum:

http://www.ledtrailerlights.com/other/RV-interior-flushmount.htm

The actual light fixture is "halogen" and appears to be the same fixture used in the AF campers I was looking at a few weeks back.

I've seen other options that cost lees, but they are "cold blue" style LED lighting, which isn't too appealing for task lighting for some people.

i ended up getting two of each size of the LED modules, here's the more powerful of the two.  I got the "warm white" version.

Pics coming as I make progress on the project today.  Now I just need to get motivated and actually start on it.

The disadvantage of LED lighting is they are very directional. It will do a good job lighting up the floor directly below. Wire it up and try it before you mount. You may want a lens.

That's not the case with these, they are "wide angle" style.

I'm mounting it in the light fixture that I bought from the link above, which has the lens:

I just installed some 1156-pcb-cwhp9 units from superbrightleds.com and really like them.  I tried the 36 led panel and they were ok but these are really nice and bright and run very cool.  They get a little warm but not scorching hot like the 1141 lamps did.  I placed the 36 led panels over the bed and used the new panels over the couch, dinette, and kitchen sink.  They have a warmer version but I really like these.

https://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=OTHER#1156-PCB-W24

The third panel from the top is the one I like.

OK, I finally made some progress.  This is the light near the sink, mounted on the bottom side of the cabinet.

I removed the old light and installed some pigtails to the factory wiring:

connecting the new unit:

Green pigtail goes to the switch, brown goes to the ground side of the lights.  (LEDs are polarity sensitive).  If the lights are used with a halogen bulb they come equipped with, polarity is a moot point.

I didn't have matching wire color so I used what I found in my junk bin.

Stuffing the wires back up in the hole:

Mounted!!  There are some wood plugs (caps) for the screw holes to cover the screw heads, but I haven't installed them yet.

The two holes near the switch are extra which are not really needed.  I sent an email to the place I bought these from and said "you might consider deleting those two holes."

SHOW ME SOME LIGHT!!

So the bathroom light won't accomodate the adapter thing I used under the cabinets, so I ordered 2 of these:

http://www.ledtrailerlights.com/other/RV-1141.htm

and installed them tonight.  they are very nice.

here's one of them installed with the lens cover off.

LED is on the right.

So i spent a few nights camping and am very impressed with both of my LED upgrades.  I will be ordering more of the above to replace a few more interior lights as well as teh exterior lights.

My next part of the project was to install a factory style dimmer switch on some of the new  round puck light fixtures that were upgraded to LED - to get the dimming function like the new models have - even with LED, they DO dim just like if a halogen bulb was installed.... COOL!!!!!!

I replaced all the incandescent bulbs with led bulbs.  I tried three different LEDs; sending them all back.  I found the same ones, pictured in the above post.  They are BA15s Bayonet Base warm white 18 led smd 5050.  I also replaced the bathroom and bed area with BA15s warm white 9 led 2 watt.  If I had it to do all over again.  The 9 led warm white is bright enough for my needs, on the ceiling lights.  But the 18 led is virtually the same as the 1156 bulb that came from the factory.

I replaced all four reading light fixtures with stainless steel light fixtures, from camping world.  These are the same ones, in some of the new arctic fox.  These lights have a very annoying bright 1356 incandescent bulb that gets hot.  I found bulbs that are perfect. 1watt led directional bulb from a place called sailor sams.  I could not be happier.  They are perfect for reading, and the fixture is no longer hot to the touch.

I have had these in my fifth wheel for 6 months.  I am extremely happy with the brightness and color of the light.  The cost was expensive.  I was able to get the 18 and 9 LEDs at a bulk price when I called ledwholesalers.com

Warning:  The led bulbs disrupt the  digital tv signal while dry camping with the antenna only.  The 1watt bulbs in the reading lights ,. did not.  When plugged into cable, there was no problem.  photo shows led in back of 5th wheel.  Front and bath not yet replaced.

update on led interior photos....

I was able last week to snap some photos of the inside, with led lights on.  These are all replacement bulbs for existing fixtures.  The reading lights are my favorite; never get hot, use 1 watt, and are a great light for reading.  They are brighter in person, than what the camera exposed.

That's where I installed mine too....  the overhead light in the bathroom.

The "warm white" color temp is definitely the way to go, it's same color temp and an incandescent light.

Early on I had used some different LEDs, they were "cool white" and the light they gave off was way too blueish hue, and was not very pleasing to the eye in my opinion.

I exchanged a few emails with http://www.ledtrailerlights.com and they told me they only sell the one above in warm white, because that's the one they use in their RVs.
It was nice to deal with a place that actually uses the products they sell, and give give me info based on their experience.

Could you post a part number for the bulbs you put in the reading lights? I have the wooden reading lights and would like to put LED's in them. I think they are a 906 type bulb.
